Bloodmoon

Did the blue moon, had to do the blood moon! Thankfully things cleared up a bit and was able to get this--I just love how the camera was able to pick up a few stars as well. Y;know, I miss the night sky, I miss the sense of wonder it invokes. Maybe I need spend a few nights away from the lights of a city...

Best Time Ever

So, I pretty much live right across the block from Kaufman Astoria Studios where Neil Patrick Harris is shooting his new live show, Best Time Ever. Last night during the premiere, he and Reese Witherspoon found themselves racing up rigging hoisted 10 stories in the air then ziplining down to the street. Naturally, I had to run to the roof to catch the moment after seeing a few rehearsals earlier in the day. Gotta say, totally real.

i don't care!

So, for 25 years I've been singing "I don't care, I don't care..." in the style of Kevin Meaney. It's been a personal in-joke of mine and it comes up on a semi-weekly basis. Anytime something annoying or frustrating or upsetting happens, I'll launch into a rousing chorus of "I don't care, I don't care (he doesn't care)", then continue on my way. Well, earlier this week I got to meet the man and photograph him backstage and onstage at Birdland. It was a simple little thrill, meeting the originator of this meme-before-there-were-memes, and he was as gracious and as personable as I always imagined. "Woof woof woof, meow meow meow!"





Day one
